In 2003, the Sprinter Van began being sold under the Dodge brand throughout North America. Unfortunately, by 2010 Sprinters were being marketed in the United States under the Mercedes-Benz brand and Freightliners due to the divesting of Chrysler. All of the Dodge dealers that had Sprinter franchises continue to sell the Sprinter’s under the name Freightliner.
The new Sprinters have come a long way. They have active brake assist which is an advanced system. They’re able to sense when a collision is about to happen, and they activate the brakes for you. They have blind assist rear cross-traffic cameras. They have a Turbocharge engine, they have a 2.0 4 cylinder Turbocharge engine, 9-speed transmission. They also have a 3.0 V6 Turbocharged engine with a 7-speed transmission.

The sprinter comes in a cargo van, 1,500, 2,500, 3,500, 4,500. The crew van can seat up to five occupants, and with room for cargo. 2,500, 3,500, and 3,500 XD and 4,500. Passenger seating up to twelve in the 1,500 and the 2,500. Up to 15 only comes in the 2,500. Cap, chest, and cutaway, 3,500 XD and 4,500 are for those that want to use it to put their own cargo vans or make their own beds in the back
